Bought Kevin's stash, Gold Lion 12AX7 tubes, as a replacement for the stock tubes in my phono pre. Immediately heard a significant difference in the SQ. More lush mid-tones, deeper bass and transparency at the high end. First time to tube roll, and glad I did.

Replaced pair of stock primary tubes in phono preamp. Great improvement. I just keep coming back to upscale Audio because of the quality and reliable advice/service. Thanks!

These tubes a very good!! I've been rolling tubes since the 1990's and I have a very nice collection of premium tubes from Europe and the USA, and I change them up depending on my mood for the day, because they ALL have their own characteristics and sound a little bit different. The Gold Lions are now in that rotation. They are that good!! I just hope Gold Lion comes out with " Different Flavors" as my premium tubes age-out and replacements become unavailable. If I was forced to make a comparison, I would say the GL sound a bit like a 17mm varnished blackplate RCA 12ax7. JD

I got a matched set of Kevin's Stash Gold Lion 12AX7 tubes for my McIntosh C2300 preamp, which I use with the McIntosh MC462 solid state amplifier. These are wonderful tubes. Soundstage is excellent. Bass is tight yet has nice bloom. Top end is smooth and natural. Right out of box sounded good but really improved after 2 weeks of listening. Highly recommended, especially Kevin's Stash.

Ditto. My KT88s are still running well.

I replaced the gain tubes on my Rogue Audio 180 mono blocks which power Vandersteen 3A signatures. I did so after having changed the power tubes from Gold lion KT88’s to EH KT 88’s. The former have a very smooth and almost syrupy mid range, the latter not so much. However, these new gain tubes appear to enhance the bass and sweeten the sound more to my liking. Highly recommended and thanks to Kevin for his video tutorial on the impact of the small signal tubes on an amplifier.
