Very good cartridge. Quite detailed, very good across the complete frequency, not aggressive in the highs as some MC cartridges, very good midrange and bass. Not difficult to set up. Sounds very good no matter the type of alignment chosen. Tracks excellently. At the discounted price being offered it is worth serious consideration.

When I first tried the Hana SL Lo it was on my UltraDeck being fed by the Chinook MKII and just sang, it had "synergy". At the time I had two systems and the time came to consolidate, and in doing so we parted ways with both turntables and carts to make room for a SL1210G, which opened up the cart rabbit hole. So we tried a lot of carts, MM, MI, MC, at all budget points from a couple hundred to thousand dollar carts, after a few years of that we started inching towards "end game" carts and landed on a Sonata3 which I used for a good year and was perfectly happy with, but in sorting through some pics and info I had saved over the years I came across my old Hana on my UD and that got me thinking, could I get back to "that sound" on this new set up? We caved and picked one up again, and taking nothing away from the Sonata3, the Hana just filled all the audio holes that I wasn't really noticing before, let me be clear, they both sound fantastic, they're just two differnt sound signatures. But with the Hana SL it brought more detail without being harsh, a wider soundstage and more precise detail. I like a warmer sound, which Grado hits all the time, but the Hana had enough warmth, detail and dug in a little deaper into the details and just hit all the boxes, no comprimise. So long story short, we went full circle and ended up kind of where we started, with the Hana SL, which I would highly recommend. I looked at the Hana SL for a while before pulling the trigger. Glad I finally did. I have a few AT, Denon and Ortofon cartridges, and the SL delivered at the same level as my favorites. Picking a favorite can be tough, and can change, but I'd buy a Hana SL in a heartbeat now that I've owned one. Now I'm left wondering how good the Hana ML is! Turntable: Technics SL-1200G. In the end also happy working with Upscale, first time buyer and they found a way to go above and beyond that I really appreciated.

I'm using the Hana SL on my Music Hall Stealth TT along with a Black Ice Audio F159 phono stage. Fantastic improvement over the Ortofon 2M Blue. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect but what I got was a wider and deeper soundstage. Instruments all had their place and kept themselves in balance with others. Female vocals were lifelike and airy. Male vocals all had good timbre. I'm really happy. Almost wish I just bellied up to the bar and gotten the ML. Great cartridge

I have this cartridge attached to a Rega P6 running through a Sutherland KC Vibe. The whole set up sounds amazing to me. This is my first turntable so I do not have a lot to compare it to but I am having a lot of fun with it. Cartridge sounds (what I call) neutral. Not to bright but still detailed enough for me. I can listen to records for hours and not realize it.
