“If you like the sound of mullards then you will love these tubes. The 7DJ8 are the same as 6DJ8 except heter voltage. My platinum pair are ultra low noise and very warm in the midrange..”

“Early tube rolling to Amprex/Holland BugleBoy NOS from Turkey. After 20/30 hours the sound was veiled and exaggerated at the extremes. The "Uncle Kev" change to this 7DJ8 was grungy...but after the same time span, the tubes now have a very accurate soundstage with the character I expected from my new Steelhead! I listen to vinyl almost exclusively on full range electrostats (Martin Logan CLX's), and at $20.00 plus $15.00 for platinums matched; the price is an absolute steal!”

“Audible Illusions Modulus 3A. Had problems with some tubes I bought from an on-line vendor. I was told that Upscale could select some that would not spit and pop. These were quieter but more important they sound a lot better, in ways hard to quantify. It's like a photograph of a stand up bass versus an actual stand up bass. Take this review FWIW and don't overblow it. I am NOT talking about a night n day change, but plenty to make it the best choice for me at what I was willing to spend.”
