Made the sound more organic & highs refined. Bass became slightly soft but not a big deal overall. I’m happy w/ it & the service that folks at Upscale Audio gave me. Thanks. -A

This cost effective tube had a very noticeable and positive effect on the sound quality of my Ah! cd player. IT added a layer of depth to the sound stage. The music seemed more palpable as well. Very pleased

These tubes are replacing the JJ E88CC Gold Pin I have in the Woo WA2. Although they don't have the warmth of the JJ, the soundstage has expanded and instrument separation is better. The midrange is still king, which for me is very important. The bass, although less powerful, is more delineated. The highs are present but not overwhelming. Overall the Matsushita/National is an awesome tube.

These were rec'd by Upscale for a PreAmp/Headphone amp, the Lyr 2 by Schiit. I couldn't be happy, these are really the most organic, natural sounding, and balanced I have ever heard.

I’ve been running these in a Woo Audio WA3 headphone amplifier in combination with an RCA JAN 6080 Black Plate rectifier. One word, wow! Kevin’s description (as always) of what these tubes will do is spot on. And yes Martha, they should be considered a bargain.

Used tubes in Modwright modified Oppo 205 player. Can confirm Kevin's description in that the National tubes replaced Telefunkens that I had running in the player. Neutral, clean, detailed like the Telefunkens, but better space and freedom on both top and bottom. Can also say that the Nationals made my "stock" Electro Harmonics gold pin tubes sound cloudy.

I use 4 of these platinum-grade, cryo-treated bad boys in a phono stage (Tubes4HiFi PH16). At first, I did not care for them. The smooth mid band and sparkly top would make records with heavy compression feel weirdly pinched in the midrange with an exaggerated and sibilant top end. However, after upgrading the coupling caps in my phono stage, they sounded exactly right. Clear, but smooth mids, just the right amount of sparkle and solid bass. I don't think these will make EVERYTHING sound good, but they will do a great job in the right gear.

WOW and Holy Crap ... these replaced the 6922 in my Sonic Frontiers in such a dramatic way, there is no looking back now! Kevin was totally spot on these gems with his description and their sonic abilities. The amp with these and the KT-120s is a beautiful transformation over what was, and I thought that was good ... again wow! These D7J8 got rid of the midrange brightness I disliked with a warmth that is very natural without giving up any top or bottom I already had. These are worth the price of admission and Kevin isn't lying about what they can and will do. Very happy to have them and glad I opted to try them. Anybody running Sonic Frontiers gear owes it to themselves to see just how good their amp can sound with these lil gems! Thanks Kevin and Upscale Audio
