Replaced the stock Chinese tube on my GF Tube DAC-11 with the Matsushita 7DJ8, and let it burn in for 3 weeks. This DAC has standard RCA outs and Tube RCA outs, and if I understand how it works, the DAC signal is processed either via SS or tube circuitry. All I can say is that the tube out is distinctly different sounding than SS, and the Matsushita tube rolling improved the sound, yet to another level. On Gordon Lightfoot's "Early Mornin' Rain" (Time-Life's Treasury of Folk Music release), his guitar fingering was much cleaner, and vocals more distinct and real sounding with the new tube. Bass was slightly deeper, and imaging seemed to be wider. It made the DAC-11 sound like it cost a lot more than what I paid. Great service from Upscale.

I'm only about 20 hours of play time into these tubes. I bought six of them for a Sonic Frontiers Line 2 and so far no complaints at all. I'd hate to comment on the qualities of the sound prematurely but you can certainly see the potential. The soundstage is a huge difference for me, bass is tight and the upper end is detailed without being harsh. Shipping was lightning quick and they were packed perfectly. Very happy and will be ordering more tubes from Upscale.

I went with the suggestions and reviews regarding the Pcc88's and I am definitely not disappointed! I have installed them on my Anthem Pre-1L line preamplifier and things have improved significantly. Most of all female vocalists are now quite amazing and seem to have a realism and softness I had not yet experienced. Nothing was given up with the change. I highly recommend Upscale Music. Their prompt delivery was also a bonus. Thank you, Lex Luthier

I've tried this tube in both my hybrid amp and preamplifier. In both cases, the midrange was beauitful but dynamics were greatly compromised. The bass is full but lacking in punch and clarity. My hunch is that the 7dj8 is not being being used to its full potential in these components. It may do better in other gear.

bought this on a whim as I had read them as recommended for the Decware Torii... Of course I can't say they are "the best".. I haven't heard everything... but they are very good - I'm leaving them in for awhile.. if you have a Torii, they are worth your time & trouble to give them a listen.

I got this tube based on the other reviews I read and since it didn't cost very much I thought I would give it a try. I am using it in one of Dennis Had's Inspire amps and the tube is outstanding. Music is more palpable and organic. Violin, piano and vocal music all sound more real. I am also impressed by its ability to let you hear and sense the space the artists are performing in. And all for $30 per tube. This tube is an easy recommendation.

These replaced the stock EH6922 in my Manley Chinook. These tubes are overall smoother, mid-range is excellent, and the overall soundstage is better. Definitely an improvement over the stock and gives you a hint of what better (more expen$ive) tubes could produce. Not the end all in lower bass definition but well worth the money and a bargain at the selling price.
