Lovely sounding tubes (not to mention, at a great price point.) They are being used in the output of my MiniMax CD player. Very pleased.

I recently installed these in a Herron Audio VTSP1A preamp - nice top to bottom extension, sweet mid-range. Musical to say the least!

The Manley Chinook is my first piece of tube equiptment, and am thrilled by it. Had a few dollars to spare and Kevin suggested these tubes. Was pleasantly surprised at the cost, I was planning on a Mullard. After 24 hours, I have to change my review of the Chinook, as this tube has balls to the wall music. No talk of highs, lows, midrange, just everything is right. Only question is whethter to buy a stock of these, or venture into the Mullards.

I bought this tube for my Quicksilver Phono Unit, but it just sounded too dark compared to the Amperex 7308. To be fair, I may not have let the tube break in for long enough. I think this tube would sing in the AR LS2, that I was always trying to tame it's top end.

Let these babies burn in for 100 or so hours before listening seriously and all I can say is this buy them now while they are still available because these tubes flesh out the mid range produce a glorious smooth tremble and are very tight on the bottom end, but it is in the middle where they strut their sonic stuff bringing the mids slightly forward in the mix with superb detail. If your pre tends toward the lean this may be the sonic fix. Thanks Kevin!

I use this in my phono stage with excellent results. I was looking to replace a set of noisy 6dj8 made in Holland tubes without losing the soundstage and pleasant tone. These 7dj8 Matsushita tubes more than fit the need. I also bought a set of Phillips 7dj8 but have no interest in trying them as I am content with these. I highly recommend them. No, wait, don't buy them, I might need some in the future.

For someone who does not tube roll that much and dabble in expensive exotic tubes i found these a nice step up from similar priced off the shelf tubes. Your description was spot on and great value for money.

These tubes work great in the line stage of my Audible Illusions pre-amp, but when I put them in the phono stage they were noisy and one was quite noticeably microphonic.
