Bought these (CV4024) and asked specifically for some very quiet ones for my phono pre. What I received were pretty good, but not as quiet as the original tubes. I expected a bit better for the price. They do sound very good though, so I am happy enough.

I wanted to clean up the sound of a Marshall DSL 40C and use it to amplify the natural resonance of a hollow body guitar. The Mullard CV4024 in the first stage preamp position worked beautifully! Better than all the current production tubes I tried.

I use this tube in a Pangea hp-201 head phone amp/preamp. Not a 10000 doller unit but I tell with that tube it really sings. For the money cant beat it. Love it. Highly recommended.

Used it in an amp I built using the iron and glass from a single end Admiral console. I've been listening to the original 12at7 from that console and it was very nice. This new AT7 is a world of difference. It's more open, detailed, and a lot more fun to listen to. Glad I bought the tube!

Overall sonic signature is smooth and rich. It renders some of my brighter CDs more enjoyable. At least as good as my 1960s era Telefunken 12AT7, maybe a smidge better. Highly recommended.

I own an MP3 Preamplifier from Atmasphere. This preamp uses six 12AT7 in the Phono Stage and a 12AT7 as a Voltage regulator. The 12AT7's arrived as promised, on schedule. Once I replaced them, the improvement was immediately audible. The Phono Stage is now much more resolving and relaxed, I can listed at a higher volume and attain more depth instead of just gain. There is much more inner detail than the stock Chinese 12AT7 Tubes. The cartridge I use is a Denon DL-160 on a Linn LP12 w/ Origin Live Advanced and Akito II arm. Thanks Uncle Kev for another Home Run!

I have McIntosh C2200 preamp with MM phono stage that takes 4- 12AT7's and 4- 12AX7's. I had Gold Lions in there before there. I put just these AT7's in first and there was an immediate improvement in sound quality even before breaking in. Really rich midrange and upper midrange. There was an unexpected improvement in deep bass extension as well. Tubes are very quiet, even in the MM phono stage. I replaced the 12AX7's later with Mullard CV4004 and while there was an improvement here too, In my set-up, I noticed a bigger difference changing these tubes. Would definitely recommend. Sad when these old tubes are gone, I don't think any new ones can approach these.

I recently bought a Doge 8 pre-amp and it gets great reviews, but universally, people say the stock Chinese tubes need upgrading. I gave them a few weeks but found an edginess to the sound that I wasn't completely happy with. I chose these Millard cv4024 tubes based on the great reviews and boy, I wasn't disappointed! I couldn't believe a few tubes could make such a huge difference.... A complete transformation. Gone is the edgy high end and the bass, mid and overall sounstage is simply staggering. I have now turned my attention to my new doge 6 CD player and suspect similar improvements might be possible. Just an incredible tube. A real shame that these tubes will become rarer and rarer. I wish I could buy a truck load!
