“I bought an octet of these to replace aging original XF2 dual halo Mullards on my 1962 vintage Marantz model 9 monoblocks. I am still breaking-in the tubes with less than 100 hours on them. And yet they sound pretty amazing already! Superb pin-point imaging and that famous tubed Marantz midrange clarity and overall frequency extension comes right through, specially in Triode mode. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase!”

“The combination of Mullard EL34, 4 Brimar 12AU7 and 2 Radiotechnique 12AU7's can't be beat. I won't be changing anything soon. The Mullard EL34 brings to the table all the things EL34's are known for.”

“Now that I've had time to really listen to these tubes and make some comparisons to my other EL34-type tubes (EH EL34 and 6CA7, JJ KT77, E34L, EL34II and 6CA7), I'd say the Mullard Reissue EL34's are my number one power tubes followed by the JJ KT77. Don't be me wrong, the JJ and EH tubes are really good as well, it's just that the Mullard Reissue EL34's have the best balance of tone, soundstage and 3D across the audio spectrum. Will this be the last set of power tubes I buy? Probably not. However, in the never ending search for the perfect tone and combination of preamp, driver and power tubes, the Mullard Reissue EL34's come pretty close to perfection.”
