A great EL34, especially if you are looking for a pronounced (lush) midrange. Great customer service and fast shipping from Upscale.

Replaced the stock tubes in an old Jolida JD302BRC integrated amp and the Mullards really gave the amp a new life - great bass and overall outstanding performance.

Purchased 4 of these tubes in Jan 2020 for my Primaluna power amp (EVO300), I use the power amp to drive only my horns in a 2-way bi-amp speaker configuration. Basically putting a low demand on the tubes, and the Primaluna amps are known not to drive their power tubes too hard (according to the marketing on this site). After sporadically using the tubes (max several hundreds of hours) within 18 months 1 tube has failed. Although I like sound of the tubes, I truly question the reliability of these tubes. Given my use case, I would have expected more use full life from these tubes. Something to think about. Compared to the stock Primaluna EL34 tubes; softer sound, deeper soundstage, less attenuation, less definition and detail in the mid-highand high frequencies (at least in my system).

Hi Sven, Sorry to hear about the failed tube! Unfortunately, some degree of uncertainly is part of the tube audio game--you can have tubes that pass our 72-hour burn-in process, and test beautifully, but fail much earlier than others. (This usually happens during power-up, even with a soft-start circuit.) This is why tube enthusiasts often have one or two spares of each tube type on hand--tubes sound beautiful, but they are an old technology that was never known for reliability, which is why we do our very best to make sure the odds are in your favor.
