“I just re-tubed my McIntosh 2301 monoblock amps (16 KT88's) with the Mullards. Previously I used the Genelec Gold Lion KT88's for about 3600 hrs. The Gold Lions had great "low end" slam and overall sounded very good. Even while breaking in I have noticed that the midrange and the "uppers" are superior to the Gold Lion's sound (less than 300 hrs) and I think I need at least 1000 hrs to evaluate the low end, but it is already sounding pretty damn good!”

“I bought these for my PrimaLuna Dialogue One. The Dialogue One was using the original PL branded EL34s. I decided to step out with the KT-88 as I had heard so many great things about them. Out of the box they sound great. After 36 hours they sound insane. I have spent a lot of my self quarantine time in the listening room the last two days. Much better bottom end without sacrificing any of the mids. My QUAD ESL 57s have never sounded so good.”
