Ok. So I am getting back to records since my first album “Kiss Love Gun” and have been spending a lot of money and time with the album resurgence. I purchased my Rega 6 planar from Ken and decided I needed a cleaning machine. After some discussion I decided to purchase the VPI MW-1. Wow. Best purchase I have made in a while. Albums sound so much better. It’s night and day with brand new and old albums. I know it’s a lot of money but to hear the difference you will be amazed plus my cartridge with thank me later.

Never having cleaned my records before and just figured the hiss and pops was just part of the vinyl .This RCM is totally worth the money. My records sound amazing no more hiss or pops. Nothing but warm sounds.

I've used a variety of methods for cleaning lps including ultra sonic, various brushes, spin clean etc. Each carve out their own space in terms of objectives. The VPI MW-1 is my favorite all around cleaning tool. It's very easy and quick to use and exemplifies VPI's top notch build quality. Considering I have friends who have the prior VPI models with many years of use, I have no doubt the improved MW-1 will provide a very long service life.

I’ve owned (and used) record cleaning machines for about 35 years, including HW17, HW16.5, HW16, Nitty Gritty 2.5 Fi, ... the MW1 is the best of the lot. It’s industrial quality, and it cleans better than any of the others I’ve owned. People complain that it costs a lot. If you’re committed to maintaining vinyl, it’s worth it. It’s way cheaper than a high end MC cartridge, it’s cheaper than a high end tonearm cable, cheaper than a tonearm, etc. It’s built in the USA by very nice people. Yes, you buy cheaper ... if you’re compelled to save some money, get the HW16.5 instead (I have one too). But in my experience, the MW1 gives a better sonic result than the HW16.5, as good as the 16.5 is. I’m very happy with Mat’s first named/numbered product. It bodes well for the future of VPI. I strongly recommend the MW1 as both an excellent performer AND an excellent value when you consider the build quality.
