“I'm not sure if anything could sound better. This is a absolutely amazing unit. I use my computer to stream data via USB to the DAC and it outputs amazing detailed audio. Can't find any distortion even in any bit rate. It's removes all the digital harshness as they call it and makes listening extremely soft and non exhausting.”

“Adding the PL EVO 100 DAC elevated my system to new heights. Hooked up to my EVO 400 Pre Amp and EVO 400 power amp i am now enjoying the "musicality" i have been looking for a very long time. Soundstage and instrument separation are impressive and the sound coming out of my B&W 804 is very pleasing. Thanks to Sean (Smo) for his recommendations - now it might be time to replace those 22 year old speakers”

“(2-channel set up below) My first impression of the EVO100 Tube DAC is that it is very well-made (really well made), handles the powerful dynamics of the different genres of music that I listen too, provides great detail, and really brings a warm, realistic tone to the music. I've not had the DAC all that long, but in the past six days I've put many hours of listening into it, trying all 4 of the digital inputs, and everything from Floyd, Porcupine Tree, Steely Dan, Chris Stapleton, Classical, Metallica, etc. Have to say I really love what EVO100 brings to my 2-channel system. Highly recommended, and if you're pairing with another PL, Very Highly Recommended!! For reference to my comments, the gear in my 2-channel system consists of: iPad Pro streaming Qobuz & Apple Music via USB to a Denafrips Iris DDC, AES/EBU out of the DDC to the AES/EBU input of the EVO100 DAC, then RCA out to a PL EVO300 Tube Integrated, then out the 4-ohm taps to one of three sets of speakers: 1) GoldenEar Triton One.Rs, 2) Polk L800 Legends, or 3) Ohm Walsh Tall 2000s. All sound great, although the One.Rs with their powered subwoofers in each speaker provide the best, full bodied sound of the three pair. For the other digital inputs, I ran USB straight from the iPad Pro (skipping the DDC) to the DACs USB input, and for the Optical and COAX inputs, I used bluetooth from my iPhone to an Aris BlueMe Pro which can output to either the Optical or COAX inputs of the DAC. Any way you want to input to this versatile DAC is going to sound very good. Again, very highly recommended!”

“I have been wanting to upgrade my current DAC ( Wyred 4 Sound DAC-2v2SE 10th Anniversary Limited Edition ) to a PL EVO 100 Tube DAC for a good while and to upgrade my current ( Pass Labs X150.8 stereo amplifier ) with a tube amplifier to compliment my current highly modified LAMM Preamplifier. The PL EVO 100 Tube DAC performed so well, I decided to get the PL EVO 300 Integrated Amplifier. After a good run with the stock tubes in both PL audio gears, it was time to roll some tubes. Current Tube Status: 1. EVO 100 Tube DAC - 2 Gold Lion U77/5AR4 rectifier tubes / 2 Radiotechnique 12AU7 / 2 Tung-Sol 12AX7 ( I will be posting product reviews on each set of tubes soon. 2. Highly Modified LAMM Preamplifier - 2 NOS Premium 1967 CV4109 tubes / 2 Radiotechnique 12AU7/ 1 NOS Raytheon rectifier tube / All Duelund VSF Caps and more. 3. EVO 300 Integrated Amplifier - 4 Gold Lion KT66 power tubes / 6 Radiotechnique 12AU7 tubes. (Note: I will be posting a product review on the EVO 300, KT66 tubes, and Radiotechnique 12AU7 tubes soon.”
