I researched amps of all makes and models for over a year and eventually decided on this one (EVO 300 w/phono, stock EL34 tubes). I listened to Kevin's YouTube videos till I can almost quote them. Finally pulled the trigger a few months ago. The difference in my system is unbelievable. I listen in my man cave at night, turn down all the lights and close my eyes. I can hear things in music that I've never heard before. It's an almost religious experience. Thanks to Joel for his excellent advice and the service and recommendations from Gabriel at Space City Audio in Houston, my local dealer. I have Tannoy XT8s, Bluesound Node, Rega P3 w/ Exact cartridge, and a 1400 series Marantz to run my TV, Sling, PlayStation, etc thru. I have mixed subs right now (Klipsch and SVS), but RELs are in the future. Not sure I'll ever need anything else.

Beyond my expectations. Upgraded from a PL prologue classic. The classic was damn good, the 300 is………just liquid goodness. So much better. If you’re on the fence, just do it. You won’t be disappointed. I did put in GL kt66 power tubes and nos mullards for the preamp. It beats my expectations. Thanks to upscale for everything

This is the first tube amplifier I have owned and am thoroughly impressed with how this piece sounds and the build quality and design esthetics are top notch. I ordered it with the stock EL34’s and I can’t imagine that the tube upgrades would be a big improvement over how sweet this sounds, they may sound different but that will be an experiment for another day as I am completely pleased with how it sounds out of the box.

This has become my favorite component in my hifi system. The sound is natural and full, while still giving me all the minute details of great recordings. And it's incredibly powerful - I have yet to turn it up to 50% gain because there's simply no need. I get all the musical details at low levels, which is great for avoiding fatigue. If my speakers could chime in, they'd probably say they're the happiest they've ever been :) If there is one thing I would change about this, I would like the gain control to move up in smaller increments when using the remote. However, once I find the right level of gain, there's no need to touch it.

We had recently completed construction of a new office/den which was home to my secondary system which I wanted to convert to my primary listening area. This required a “forklift” of the main components. For the centerpiece, I went with the Primaluna EVO 300 integrated which replaced a Musical Fidelity M2si (also purchased from Upscale and has provided several years of enjoyment). I’ve always wanted to go tubes and the time was right to do so. I am so glad I did. The sound stage and detail are quite remarkable. I always knew, but never experienced firsthand, that tube power and solid state power are two totally different things. The 42 watts ultralinear are way more than needed to drive my Focal Aria 936’s (also just purchased from Upscale). I barely have the volume knob turned at all and the room is filled with beautiful sound. Bass is very good too. Not just deep, but with fine texture. Mids and highs to die for. I also needed the HT bypass for 5.1 music (can’t listen to Pink Floyd any other way). Sources are a newly purchased Hifi Rose 250A streamer and an older Oppo BDP-93 universal disc player.
