“Bought the PL Eco 300 preamp this February (2025), Joel did a great job setting up the demo for me. Fantastic sound - I was sold! Had it shipped to me. Packaging was well-done: double-boxed, formed styrofoam encasing the unit. Good thing too because I can tell UPS had dropped it (one corner indented) and the UPS guy actually rolled the box end-over-end up my stairs! But the unit had no damage at all. Hooked it up and I was floored by the sound over my old Crown IC 150 preamp. Quiet, detailed but smooth, great dynamics, wide soundstage, airy, yet with great punch. Live performance recordings sounded 3-D, bass drum thwacks right there. Can hear the Leslie of Hammond B3 organs playing, great vocals. For reference, the rest of my system is old but still sounds great: Brown Electronics Lab 2002 100 wpc class A amp, Apogee Centaurus Slant 6 speakers, Well Tempered Turntable (need a new cartridge though). Now need a music streamer to start getting into hi-res streaming as streaming Spotify via Bluetooth doesn't cut it anymore. This is money well spent and totally worth it.”

“This is the very best preamplifier I have ever heard.Even better than the Vtl 7.5 which costs well over twenty thousand dollars.Its noise floor is so low you can here every detail in the music.If you have the funds to get this preamplifier you are getting one of the very best in the business.”

“This is a fantastic preamplifier with amazing build quality. I originally had an SS pre driving a tube power amp. Upgrading to an Evo 300 really opened up the sound. I highly recommend it.”

“I bought the EVO-300 preamp on Sean Smollon's suggestion last year ,and It totally transformed my system from dry and boring to lush and detailed high end. My old Opera Callas monitors went from bright to warm, high resolution speakers with better bass and midrange. My turntable and SACD player now sound wonderful. The EVO-300 preamp is the best Investment I have ever made In my life.”
