“We are completely enjoying the integrated amp. Interestingly my wife loves it (stock tubes); I think it sounds great. She notices a change for the better; I notice it sounds how I expect it to (I suspect my years of mowing lawns are starting to impact my hearing). The EVO 400 reveals the recording. I would say the top end is clear and crisp but not harsh. The bottom is a little thin, but it was with my prior amp too! We have a pair of Focal Sopra 02. The amp might have been overkill in terms of power. It plays too loud at 1/4. The unfortunate part is that I should have relaxed and listened to the numerous reviews and saved more money than I want to think about pursuing separates and cables. For us, the sound is awesome!”
