OMG, the night and day difference from my MX123 should have gone with the EVO from day one. I 100% recommend it if you are in the market for a preamp.

The PrimaLuna EVO 400 Preamp is as good as Kevin Deal at Upscale Audio says it is. It is super quiet, neutral sounding for a tube preamp, and just plain good quality.

Prior to introducing the EVO 400 preamp into my system I was going straight from my source to Pass Labs XA60.8 monoblocks. I added the EVO 400 hoping to add some of the tube "magic" that was lost going from VAC tube amps to the Pass Labs set. I believe I accomplished that goal, but at a nuance level at best using my 76 year-old ears. Once we get the audio "disease," the dollars can best be justified by the sense of satisfaction generated by both ears and heart. I am happy. In a purely mechanical sense I am impressed with the build quality of the EVO 400.

Very satisfying, great sounding pre amp large soundstage. Looks pretty cool, the warm glow of the tubes caged in the chassis.

I am the very proud owner of both the PrimLuna 400 power Amp and 400 Pre-Amplifer for some time, they have all pass there burn in peroid and I am very happy with my investment. I owe it all to Sean Smollon from upscale audio who is instrumental in assisting me with all my purchases from upscale Thank you brother Sean for all your support, I have been an audiophile many years, and I can honestly say that this product have way exceeded my expectation. For the cost of these two units and whats taking place here have puts the compition complely out of the game. If you are using the stock power cord, you havent really heard these boys, you have to invest in better power cords and this is really where they pulls away from the compition again, the sound stage becomes larger, instrements becomes more life size, better and deeper bass, better seperation of the intrements, and all the magical things we expect from good tube equiptments. My sperkers are horns with a sensivety of 107db, 18 ohms, with the Rel SX212 Sub woofers, and this is where these boys really kick ass, If you are looking to up grade, look no futher you will not be disappointed, excuse me gentlemen, I have to get back to my listening sessions. Loving my EVO 400 Pre. Substantial upgrade from my previous preamp : Freya+. Sounds the best after ~2 hour warmup. Looking forward to rolling tubes.

I bought the EVO 400 preamp and power amp and could not be more pleased. They have taken my system to the next level in a significant way. The music flows more effortlessly into the room and seemingly just "appears", while the speakers disappear. I am hearing things I haven't heard before, making all the music much more alive and real ... the clarity is remarkable. And, they are cool to look at.

My PrimaLuna Evo 400 preamp is simply amazing! Out of the box it kicks the ass of the highly regarded Preamp I was using! Just incredible with my McIntosh MC452 through my Harbeth Super HL5’S. I was missing so much with the other preamp that I am floored. Count me as a believer and a listener who highly recommends the PrimaLuna Evo 400! Upscale Audio as always comes through 110%! Thank you!
