“Upgraded to this turntable from a Audio Technical LP-120 with a Ortofon 2M Bronze. It came with a new Sumiko Amethyst but I decided to mount the Ortofon so I could compare the different in TT. The sound quality was immediately better. The AT had a built in preamp which probably affected sound quality. Still, I felt the Pro-Ject could be better so I upgraded to the Ortofon 2M Black and added the Pro-Ject Tube Box 2 bypassing my Marantz preamp on the phone input. What a difference. All the sudden I had a true sound stage and I was able to hear detail I had never heard before. Now I'm buying higher quality vinyl and things like Half Speed Masters where I can really enjoy the music. Listening to an audiophile version of Pink Floyd "Dark Side of The Moon" and all I can say is WOW!”

“I bought mine a year and a half ago. I caught a great deal as they where selling it with the Sumiko blackbird cartridge. Paired with my focal speakers and Music Fidelity power,250 watts per side it was spectacular. Nothing in the price range can compete. I recently purchased a Leera cartridge and was blown away. I have friends with twice as much invested and it competes point for point.”

“This turntable really improved the audio quality of my LP collection, some dating back to 1958! I now hear detail formerly lost. The build quality is top notch. I went with this turntable after watching Kevin’s video review. He really knows his products. So do his employees.”
