“I rolled in this tube as a replacement for a Mullard new production Russian or a Sylvania NOS in my ModWright LS 36.5 Tube Linestage preamp. I had to fashion a new cover with a hole for the Philips. This preamp never sounded better. I am very satisfied.”

“I have the Modwright P9 with this tube. Its great. I was wondering whether I shoulld use a tube cooler (Pearl) for this application. It acts as a dampener too. If so, whats the diameter of this tube???”

“I'm not sure I can add anything to what has already been said. Except that I agree with all the stellar reviews. Bought it again for my second ModWright Oppo 105. Original Sovtek sounded solid but the Phillips is more refined, delicately detailed, dynamic. Not an expert. I rely on opinions from people who have done the comparisons. Dan likes them. That's good enough for me.”

“I am using the Prima Luna Dialogue amp and wanted to see if the Phillips would add to an already great amp. The verdict is in and after 50 hours of use, the amp is a little more transparent, treble is extended but not bright, Bass is tighter and more defined and the mid range is glorious. Overall, an improvement worth every penny.”

“Exciting tube..... Sound stage deepened....Instruments just sound right. Pace/timing of music is now more lifelike. All part of the character/magic of tubes. I did not realize a rectifier tube could sonically make so much difference in my modified Dynaco ST-70 amplifier! Thank you Kevin!”

“Upgrading my primaluna stock tubes to these is the best move I've made yet. Cyro treatment is a must from upscale. They really opened up the sound and doubled the soundstage and dynamics. I'm using a matched quad set of Nos mullard 12ax7s and a quad of mullard nos 12au7s all from Blackburn with my prologue 3 and 5. Amazing bass. Still using my stock kt88s but just made my second tube order from upscale this week with a quad of ts120s with cyro treatment. I love your tubes thank you!!”
