Recently purchased this phono stage per Ken's recommendation along with an EVO 300 integrated amp as well. Please see my other review. Using a legacy Yamaha P-750 DD TT with an Acutex 420STR cartridge, Blue Jeans cable interconnects through a pair of GoldenEar Triton Reference speakers in a comprehensively treated dedicated room. Frankly, can't tell how much the phono stage is impacting the sound quality although I believe the amplifier would be the larger determining factor. That being said, it's a well constructed, hybrid tube design, Reasonable investment for me given it's capabilities and support of the analog experience I am seeking. Eventually, I will upgrade to a 21st century belt driven table till then this will work. Very good product and great service from Upscale Audio.

Love the product so far but I have not tried the USB feature yet to see if I have channel separation issue. I was using an entry level Zphono preamp prior but this really makes sound stage open up. I would definitely give it a 5 for sound. Really enjoying listening to all my records again. Next I think I’ll try to use top of the line cables.

Works great and received fast service from Upscale! I thought I would try this instead of my phono preamp in my receiver. Didn't really make much difference, I was hoping for harder hitting bass. My system already sounded good so I feel that it is no fault of the Vincent PHO-701.... hence the 5 star rating and great service from Upscale.

Got the Vincent PHO 701 with an upgraded Brimar tube to go with a VPI Super Prime Scout and a Soundsmith Zephyr MIMC* cartridge. It is my first serious TT set-up and it as heck of a step-up from the previous POS TD203 to built-in phono stage in an integrated amp. I. burned in the 701 for a good week, but not sure I notice any difference between before and after. It would also be difficult to separate cartridge vs. TT vs. phono stage contributions. I fiddled around with the resistance settings. Can be done on the fly by pulling out the Vincent and changing the dip-switch settings. I like the 1000 Ohm setting better than the ~500 Ohm minimum recommended by Soundsmith; the differences are rather subtle, though. The only quibble is that the on/off switch of the Vincent is on the back of the chassis; a front switch would have been better. I leave the Vincent on unless I am out of town for a few days, and will not use it for sure.
