“It took a significant amount of effort to acquire these along with the 5AR4 rectifier tubes. But they are magic. I had numerous tubes in my unit but they were all excessively analytic and even bright. Techs attempted to blame my associated equipment. This was a false assessment. Once the stock tubes were installed the brightness became a memory. The preamp is now smooth and laid back without sacrificing detail. If you have a PrimaLuna unit and you are not satisfied with the sound, strive to acquire the stock PrimaLuna tubes. Im glad I did. The unit went from undesirable to one of my favorite pieces.”

“I had tried some NOS sylvania tubes off eBay and they were ok until I got a set of 98db speakers. I was hearing noticeable buzzing. Since replacing the Ebay tubes the problem has been mitigated. I’ll just get all my tubes here now.”
