“Working fine - replaced a faulty valve in a newly bought ( 2 weeks ) EVO 100 integrated amp. Sounds good - very pleased with the amp - it has definitely sweetened over run-in. Clarity and Soundstage sound so much better after a few weeks of use - rediscovering some long neglected parts of my music collection. Very happy with my purchase !”

“This is a decent EL-34 tube. People who favor the 'traditional' EL-34 sound will find the PL EL-34s to be not as warm sounding, but this is not a flaw, and is it not excessive. These tubes are not as treble biased as the Electro-Harmonix EL-34 for example. Having less warmth can be a favorable thing depending upon your taste and the other components. When your original PL EL-34s are are worn out, I think that it is worth exploring the other EL-34s sold at Upscale Audio, but these should probably stay on the 'maybe' list.”

“The Primaluna EL 34 are fantastic, to my ear they are softer with better sound staging and cleaner harmonics . The Gold Lions they replaced would be better suited for a larger room than my 18x22.”
