“I am incredibly unhappy with the service of my Primaluna preamp and amplifier. While I appreciate the technical skill of those involved, here is how I feel: I am made to feel stupid or an unreliable witness. I feel that your technical staff are adept at emphasizing there is nothing they can do and the problem is mine. I cannot think of another $10K spent that has been less enjoyable. Our service team has been working closely with Chan since May to help eliminate noise issues. They have done several phone consultations, and sent out free replacement EL-34's on two occasions. The preamp was shipped back to Upscale for complete bench-testing, and all the rectifier tubes were replaced at no cost to the customer even though no issues were detected. The reported hum and woofer flutter has been definitively determined to NOT be caused by the PrimaLuna units, and is most likely the result of a ground loop in the customer's system. Unfortunately, our technical staff has no control over electrical issues in a customer's home.
