It kinda works, but the vacuum is very weak, so not as well as I was expecting it to.

After a vinyl is cleaned with this machine, a cleaning with a brush and liquid on the turntable (the old fashioned way) still removes a lot of dust and debris.

Thank you so much for providing a review on the Record Doctor. We were sorry to hear that you didn't find it that thorough in the results that you are getting. We would suggest that you review the procedure of how it works. There are many great reviews by users, reviewers, and our staff here at the store, but it takes a particular procedure and maybe even a little finesse. You can find some great youtube videos that show it in action. If you still find the results disappointing, we understand. It just might not be for everyone. Contact us, and we can authorize a return for you.

Love this machine. I know it is a manual process, but I got to be honest, there is something about doing it manually. I feel it is part of the experience and the magic of vinyl. The machine has done an incredible job of cleaning even some of my old vinyl that is a bit to be desired..... It has also done a great job in the reduction of our static issues we have. Highly recommend this to anyone on a budget or not....

New life for some dusty favorites. The pandemic has rejuvenated my love of album sides. Much of my collection dates back forty years or more, and the liners have reached the age were they are in need of rehab. They leave more debris on the vinyl than my old college roommates did. The doctor is in the house and music never sounded better. Going to need another hundred inner sleeves.

Records get clean, but no significant noticeable difference in reducing noise created by dirt/dust in grooves.

So far, this machine has been quite bad. On my first three attempts, the records were “clean” but audible scratches were left on the first tracks on both fairly new albums albums. I used an older album I don’t care for as a further test & now there is a scratch to which I can’t advance past. I’ve followed the instructions to a T, watch videos and more. (I don’t believe it’s my cart or turntable Technics1210/Bronze MM)

This is a great solution for cleaning records. Old records sound their best again after a run through the Record Doctor VI. I also clean brand new records as they often arrive with debris from manufacturing and packaging. My one nit is that it’s quiet loud and you have to be close to operate it. Given the performance this affords you at this price point, it’s easy to overlook. Highly recommend this!
