“I was using an Audio Rearch DAC5 and a pioneer PD59. They sounded very good but the Ruby sounds cleaner and closer to analog. Beautiful soundstage too. I'm using it with my AES DJH hotrod preamp and the AES Sixpacks.”

“I can't believe all the music I've been missing. This is an initial first 20 minutes review. It's like there is no stereo just music. The set up disc is different than the one Kevin gave me years ago (I wore it out), when I bought my AES SIXPACKS TUBE amps. So now I get turned on to some different music too. I know the SI-KI isn't even close to broken in so I can expect even better results. Stevie Ray's amp is currently buzzing the background. Very real sounding Strat with every touch of the strings and fretboard totally separate from the guitar amp. The snap of the rim shots are so grounded but the reflection of them in the room it was recorded in is so evident. I have Vienna Acoustic Mozart speakers.Thank you Upscale for giving me back my enjoyment of music.”

“I have approx 60 hrs playing time after purchasing from Upscale Audio. This player works with precision & displays excellent craftsmanship. My cds /sacds sound great. My range has been from Norah Jones - Eagles to Electronic / pop /rock. I am very pleased to have purchased this player & thoroughly enjoy it. This is a player one should definitely consider !”

“Gorgeous pristine detailed crystal clear beautiful sound from SACDs and CDs, if that is what is on the disc. Well made discs put you into the music venue, close your eyes and you are there. Some discs that sound okay on less revealing gear are occasionally disappointing.”

“The merits of this player are no secret. The analog sound it puts out is musical, accurate, and hard to beat anywhere near this price point. What surprised me, though, was how heavy this piece is (close to 40 pounds) and how silently the tray mechanism opens and loads. Excellent, full-featured remote too. Really well done, KI and Marantz.”
