“Nice, tight bass. Extended HF, which gives the sound a beautiful, airy quality (Not etched or brittle). Awesome channel separation; great soundstaging. Absolutely my favorite cart!”

“Went from an Ortofon 2M Black to the Sumiko Starling, immediate improvement in stereo separation and as the cartridge is getting broken in a noticeable uptick in nuance and detail.”

“The cartridge had a problem and you people would not give me another one. So that did return my money and made me feel like I was the problem but I did buy one from another dealer cheaper than yours. I really liked your company until this happened to forbid to send me a better Sumiko Starling cartridge. The phono preamp Sutherland 20/20 is only so so. The circuit board has only 2 IC's on it.”

We had over 100 phone calls, emails, and texts from Charles. We made every effort to understand his situation. We gave him a full refund on his cartridge and offered to take his phono preamp back for a full refund. In his most recent email, he said that he was enjoying it.

“After about a maybe 100 record break-in , this beauty is CREAR ! The way the cantilever sticks out so nicely to cue a song ! And I asked for bass from Kat and I can't be more happy . Get this . Thanx Kat !!”
