Let me start by saying that I have (2) 212/SX's for my main system, so I was hoping that these would have the same tonality and influence on my office system, as the 212's did for my main system - and they absolutely do!! Thanks to the sale price, I threw my money into the wind and paired (2) of these T/9x's with my Polk LSiM703's, LSiM center and LSiM surrounds for my office system. It's all being driven by a Yamaha CX-A5100 and Emotiva XPA-5 coming via HDMI from my computer. Setup for these was a cakewalk since I had so much time invested in setting up my 212's, I already knew how to get these to pair up with the Polk's via the hi-pass cables pretty quickly. After around 15 minutes of tweaking settings/knobs, listening to various songs then tweaking again, the subs eventually just disappeared and that's when I knew I was set. What has always impressed me with my big REL's is the low volume output of notes you wouldn't normally hear unless the system was turned up (with other subs), and the T/9x's have that same "quiet", but pitch-perfect bass output when you don't want to wake the kids or neighbors but want to hear "everything" in the song, just at lower volumes. They blend seamlessly with the Polks and you get the impression all the sound is coming from the Polk's, but in reality, so much is now coming from the REL's. When you want to feel the bass, turn it up, and the T/9x's output goes up to some pretty loud levels(especially for an office) with plenty of rattles from the sheetrock and windows(and my hair/clothes/etc.). It's hard to explain with these REL's, but after decades of being obsessed with A/V, I just find that these and the 212's I have, have changed my expectations, as they just sound exactly how I envision the bass to sound. It's just effortless for them to produce the lowest of notes, and it's something I don't get from the (2) 12's in my truck, my old 15" sub in my main system, or any of all the other subs I've heard over the 30 years being obsessed with A/V. I do not doubt that the output of these is sufficient for a typically sized living room, for both movies and music, as you feel the notes when it's turned up, but for those with larger rooms stepping up to the 510's, 812's, or in my case, a couple 212's, and you will be getting endgame amounts of bass(both in tonality and output). I am admittedly not a big fan of REL's pricing as I think they could be a bit more competitive(to say SVS or similar) and still make plenty of profit, but those few extra hundreds(lol) do buy you a very beautiful sub that produces all the correct notes, and also cranks for movies when you need it to. Thanks to the sale price, I can easily say that I have zero buyer's remorse! Now I just wonder if the HT lineup sounds as good and effortless as the SX and T/X???

It is my second t/9. The other channel is t/9i. Takes just a little time to dial in but at best on good recordings performs wonderfully.

Very nice subs. Dig deeper, hit harder and are faster than my last subs by far. For premium money the finish should be polished better. Not as polished as my Focals

This is my second T/9X Rel Sub for my right channel and another T/9X on the left channel. The 2 subs blend perfectly well with my current speakers. Bass is tight and deep and the sound signatures are made for music. Excellent subs. Highly recommended especially for music listening.

I bought a pair of Rel T/9x subwoofers and just let me say wow! They are a perfect match with my Klipsch Forte IV speakers. PrimaLuna Evo 400 tube poweramp, PrimaLuna Evo 400 tube preamp.PrimaLuna Evo 100 tube DAC. The subwoofers brought out all the best of my system has to give. I would like to again thank the team at Upscale Audio for the top notch service.

I have been missing the warmth, punch and dynamic feel of music and didn’t realize it until now. Love it!
