These are excellent tubes. I’ve been swapping against the kt150 and it’s a toss up based on trade offs. Voices and intimacy go to the 34s. Scale and air to the 150s, but they both boogie on the bottom end in my PL HP integrated.

I’ve rolled several different tubes in my Primaluna Integrated amp including the stock EL34’s, Mullard EL 34’s, Gold Lion KT 88’s, KT 120’s, and KT 150’s, all with various combinations of input tubes. They all sound significantly different from one another and I like all of them to varying degrees. But I must say overall I prefer the Tung-sol el 34’s paired with gold Lion 12AU7’ input tubes, which provides a fantastic combination of nice detail without the slightest bit of listener fatigue, midrange magic, impressive dynamics, tight bass, and a very natural treble range with nice air. I’ll try the Gold Lion KT 77’s next but until then, these are the front runners.

I own the Primaluna Dialogue Premium integrated amp, I had the Golden Lion KT88'S and I personally thought they sounded a bit harsh through my system. I purchased the Tung Sol EL 34b and was very pleased with the difference. System sounds lush and silky Sound stage improved, just as wide as the KT88'S but the EL34b gave better depth and separation They're still breaking in and I like them a lot Reccomend Upscale Audio has it together Fast shipping and great help and support

These tubes are barely able to be biased in my amp. When I purchased them, I noted the type of amp (Marshall JCM800) and the plate voltage of the amp. I also noted that I run the bias at around 60-65% of maximum plate dissipation (mpd). At the amp's LOWEST bias setting, I'm able to get the tubes to idle at 37 ma, which equates to 70% of mpd. (25 / 470 x .7 = 372339). I tend to run the idle at 60-65% because I prefer the tone at that range and it also prolongs the life of the tubes. I cannot run the tubes at the bias I prefer. I installed the tubes for about 2 hours, and then removed them. I'd like to exchange them for a different tube if possible. Thanks, Frank

Just had a power surge that an old monster brand failed. So far grabbed some easy priced Tung-sol tubes and a Cambridge CD player. Up and going within 10 days. Easiest and fastest dealers ever had.
