“I have been an Upscale Audio loyal customer since 2004, when I purchased and still use and enjoy a Njoe Tjoeb 4000. So this recent order of the TungSol EL34B Power Tubes is no exception to excellence in quality. I use a Cathode Bias set of Mullard 5-20 Monoblocks, so I at minimum matched Duet's. But with Upscale Audio you really get solid value for your money, you always get matched Power Tubes, always. If you order 2, 3, 4, 5 or 8, they are all precision tested, burned-in and matched. This fact, and the phenomenal prices that Upscale Audio offers to the market is truly remarkable. These TungSol Branded EL34's have a solid feel, the Glass Bottle is thick and really made to industrial standards. I placed all 4 tubes in my Otto-1 Tester, they all read the exact amount of Plate Current, down to the decimal point on my Fluke 87 VOM. My tester matches Power Tubes at 250 Volts DC on the plate. This allows the tester to refer to published specifications for Power Tubes where 250 Volts DC is a de-facto mean voltage specification. I don't recall the value of the Cathode resistor on my tester to provide the Bias voltage. Bit each tube measured exactly 90 milliamps. This is what we call 'matched to perfection". I have to say that recently I did wander around and gave a new Tube Seller a chance on a Matched Quad of Svetlana EL34'zs. MISTAKE. I received matched Duet and the other two EL34's were stragglers, 82ma and 112ma. I sent the tubes back and ordered these from Upscale Audio, 100% satisfaction folks. They sound perfectly clear from a very sweet and extended Top End, to a Glorious Midrange and very Tight BASS! I am really thrilled to have these Tung-Sol Branded Tubes in my amplifiers, and you will too. “I think the Russians have put some Sputnik in these Tung-Sol tubes. I first tried to find the best sounding preamp tubes for my PL Evo 100, and after listening to GL reissue, Mullard, Shuguang, and Tung-Sol, I picked the Tung-Sol 12AX7 Gold Pin and Tung-Sol 12AU7W as the best sounding for the front 4 tubes. I then thought, why not also try the Tung-Sol EL34B for the back four power tubes. It has really brought my Evo 100 SQ up to the best I've ever heard, and would not want to ever change the sound from where it is now. Bravo Tung-Sol and Upscale Audio.”

“these replaced some really bad kt77s from another vender. 2 tubes failed and fried a resistor. upscale gives me the confidence that this will not happen in addition to great recommendations. the tung-sols are perfect for my needs. very listenable non fatiguing tube.”

“I am very pleased with my purchase of EL34 and 12AU7 Tung-Sol tubes. I have 2 EVO 400 power amps plus an EVO 400 preamp. I chose Tungsram 12AU7 tubes plus the Tung-Sol 5AR4 rectifier tubes in my preamp but suspect all Tung-Sol would be just as good. The sound is all I could hope for. Dynamics and clarity that i had not experienced form my Turnberry GR speakers. I doubt I will be changing much from this combination.”

“Bought a quad of these to replace the stock EL34's in my PrimaLuna EVO300 integrated. The TS EL34B have a little smoother more natural presentation in the mid and upper midrange compared to stock PL EL34. The bass was a little deeper with greater extension and little bit better overall dynamics. In all they seemed to do everything the stock EL34's did but just a little better. Again Upscale was quick in getting them out the door to me.”
