“I purchased my Robe Atlas Magnum with KT-120s. After reading about the KT-150s, I purchased 4 cryo treated tubes. Overall, sound is punchier, more balanced, more detailed... it was more than a subtle difference. I kept bias at the Stereophile recommenced sweet spot for the KT-120s, and it sound great. I tried going from 45mA to 40mA and dynamics changed. Great tubes.”

“After having many Quads of your superb tubes through our amplifiers, we noticed something interesting......very interesting. Our custom built, 75 wpc stereo amplifiers (only for recording studios) making 0.06 THD...sometimes make 0.006/0.004 THD and we have traced this to a few Quads which are making superb numbers. Many circuits won't make these numbers...but ours does, if the tubes can do it, and there may need to be a new level of ratings for tubes. A full decimal place lower. Significant......perhaps X tubes or KRT (Kevin's Reference Tubes). They would be tubes for the finest systems.... Hopefully you have a distortion analyzer and can evaluate this yourself. No other tube provider is offering this.... PS -Our amplifier is an Eico HF89 variant with updated parts.”

“Just finishing previous review...... Anyway after installing the Brimar cv3004 the noise level dropped to nothing and the sound stage really opened up, wider and deeper. I had to then try the KT150s and man was I happy I did. The power is incredible with the articulate bass response being incredible. I wasn't sure my Ethos would reap the benefits of such awesome bass but they really displayed what this tube combination can do. Thanks Kevin!”

“I purchased a Primaluna Dialogue HP and lived with the EL34s for a few months spinning Joni, Floyd, Steely Dan, Blood Sweat and Tears, etc...and loving the sound. After reading other reviews on the KT150 it left me very curious that there might be more to be had from this amazing amp so I first went for the Brimar cv4003”

“My Audio Research Reference 75 SE has never sounded better! The match quad from Upscale sounds better than the originally supplied tubes from AR. Love the bass, nicely textured mid-range, great vocals, and smooth highs. Prices are very reasonable considering cryo-processing, specific amp matching, and 72-hour burn in.”

“Was running EL34s with PrimaLuna Dialogue Premium HP Integrated and Revel Performa3 F206s. Sounded good but maybe a little flat. These speakers are reputed to require power. Was thinking maybe F206s not compatible with tube amplification. KT150s added the dynamics I was after. Highly recommended if you have power hungry speakers.”

“I recently upgraded from a Prima Luna Prologue HP which I loved the sound of with KT88's and upgraded to a Prima Luna dialogue hp and went to KT 120's and just upgraded to Kt150's they have started to open up and are giving a little more bass to this great amp.”

“I have a pair of Quicksilver Silver Mono 90's. When it came time recently to replace my KT88's, I checked with the manufacturer and decided to upgrade to these Tung Sol KT 150's. A great upgrade. Highly recommended”
