“After working nearly 60 hours per week, I was cut down to 40 hours, we're considered essential personnel, while the Coronavirus is wreaking havoc on the world. I finally had a few minutes to replace my HA75 tube headphone amp's Ruby tube with this one, which I ordered last year. My headphone amp is studio grade, but both of my HA75's are used in a home environment, one on my computer set up, Mytek Liberty DAC, PSB Alpha PS1 speakers, and Mr. Speakers Ether C flow headphones. The other headphone amp is on my living room system, NAD pre/power and turntable, Rega Apollo, Monitor Audio Silver 500's. Both systems have Kimber Kable wiring of TC, KCAG, Silver Streak, Hero, and then Mapleshade, with the TC and Mapleshade for bi-wiring the MA's. While I haven't rolled the living room HA yet, I wish I hadn't waited so long to roll the computer headphone amp. The difference was not subtle, with the clarity and detail, top to bottom, well worth the price. I am a huge fan of Rock/Metal, but will listen to just about anything. Primarily, progressive, and as of late, Symphonic metal, specifically Nightwish. The Vehicle of Spirit DVD live set I watched a few times before rolling, after, I heard so much more detail in each and every musician, am able to hear them more distinctly than I have ever. A stellar tube!!”

“I use in the phono stage, balanced sound with lots of details and emotions, shines in the entire frequency spectrum.I have lots of tubes,but this is one of my favorites.Highly recommended”

“Simple man of simple means, I'm using this in a Hafler HA75 headphone amplifier that I also use as a line stage to add warmth to my bedroom rig. Delivers on its' description - more sparkle, more Natural detail, more soundstage width and depth - more Quality is the best way to describe this tube...........won't bother to change it out until it burns out :P . Thanks Boyz.”

“As Kevin stated in his video this is a very special tube it adds depth beyond what some other tubes give you. There is great bass, good mids and when Kevin says sparkle on the top end it is a clarity and a solid sound. This is truly a magical tube.”

“Its hard for me to tell exactly how these tubes are performing, as they went in with a whole raft of Clifte 12AU7's, but the overall the performance of my system is just amazing. Tubes were delivered promptly and as advertised. Thanks to Jared for his great recommendation.”

“I roll top shelf tubes and can assure all readers these are some of the finest NOS Tungsram tubes available. To test the sonic quality I put a pair of these tubes between a pair of Kevin's NOS Telefunken 6922 E88CC's in my Phono Stage and a pair of NOS Telefunken's E88CC's in my preamp. I use an NB-01P Marantz 7 design amp to increase voltage from my phono stage to my preamp. I have looked for years to find a tube that could pass a Telefunken soundstage without messing it up. These 12AX7 tubes passed the test, Highs sparkle, Mids are full and real, tight and accurate bass, it widened the soundstage on my system. I have already bought a second pair as backup you will too.”

“I have to agree with these other reviews. I don't have golden ears as I am a retired carpenter and have some hearing loss but I could definetly hear the difference with these tubes. The music seems to have more weight and definition with these tubes. Things are more clearly defined. Strings are smooth as silk. In some jazz recordings the percussive instruments are brought up in the mix and the decay of cymbols is just great. They are kind of expensive but once I get PayPal paid down I plan on getting more of these for use later. Kevin was correct in saying that these tubes are like turning up the color. Everything just sounds richer.”

“I am currently using this tube in a Presonus Bluetube DP preamp to warm up the signal path of various electronic music gear and also software based synths for studio recording. If you are looking to add more of a rich bass sound and a fuller smoothness in the mids to your preamp's output this vintage Tunsram tube is the way to go.”
