Excellent, well constructed speaker stands. I was very impressed with the overall attention to detail. It was packaged very well, both as shipped from the factory and the second, double box that was added the shipping crew at Upscale. Plus, it holds your LP's. An added bonus! Highly recomended!

I just recently moves out in my own, into a small but very beautiful Brooklyn brownstone garden apt and these the perfect speakers. They are the perfect small bookshelf type speakers. They are not very big but they have bass and they sound good at the levels from low to really high and they look the coolest! Paired with a Rega Elex R and Rega p6 they sound just right. Music sounds natural, clean and rocking when you want to rock. I can’t hear the speakers at all, just the music effortlessly filling my space and my heart with pure joy!

I have Focal 936 in addition to the Linton's. I am currently breaking in the Linton's. Loved the sound out of the box and expect it to get better. May trade the Focal's for Klipsch Forte IV for a different sound as the Focal's and Linton's both have a sound I describbe as accurate and pleasant to listen to.

Match the speakers well. I thought they would be too short but they are great. Super heavy duty

Excellent, highly recommend. Upscale is fantastic -- thanks to Al for the help with the order and chatting equipment. Shipped same day, excellent packaging (although, the labels on the bags for the left and right speakers were mixed up, and there was a small blemish on one of the gold speaker plugs). I'm in my 30s and fairly new to owning hifi equipment. These are replacing vintage Polk Studio Montior 5B's. I'm driving these with a 1978 Technics SA-700 (100W @ 8 Ohms). I'm just loving these speakers -- fantastic resolution, soundstage, and rich, big sound -- a real pleasure to listen to. It's like "just one more song,” with the hours passing by. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing. I think the Stereophile review is right on. I was concerned about the reports of excess bass or "undefined" or "flabby" bass. When placed in the corners of the room, right up to the back wall, yes -- there is excess bass. But even with this placement, they don't sound bad. Currently, I have them spaced about 6' apart, 7" inches from the back wall, 3’ from the nearest side-wall, and slightly toed in. There is a notable “sweet spot” in terms of soundstage. Alice Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Nina Simone, The Lounge Lizards, Bobby Hutcherson, Moondog, Tom Ze, Tim Maia, Fleetwood mac, Dirty Projectors, Joni Mitchell, Robert flack, Pharoah Sanders, Gabor Szabo: all stunning — so fun. Vocals are centered, instruments spread out nicely. Bass sounds good, tight, and centered — songs like: U Can't hold No Groove by Victor Wooten, or Flight of the Cosmic Hippo Bela Fleck (bass also Victor Wooten), or Up All Night by SAULT sounds incredible (at least to me [and friends]). Daft Punk, Aphex Twin, etc etc is great. As stated everywhere, the veneer is stunning (I have the Walnut with matching stands), and the build quality is very good. I do wish Wharfedale didn’t brand the grills and especially the stands (I turned them around, so that the logo is in the back…much nicer). Overall, very happy and looking forward to hearing them with a modern hifi amp...
