Building on the popularity of the Gringo, the S model features a flip-up visor. The Gringo S is built around the Biltwell’s injection-molded ABS outer shell and features a shock-absorbing EPS liner with hand-stitched interior padding, cheek pads and BioFoam chin bar cushion for comfort. The Gringo S shield boasts awesome optics and simple hinge mechanics for high style and easy removal for replacement or cleaning. “The Gringo S helmet is well constructed. Solid feel and excellent padding and internal stitching, unlike many DOT helmets. The helmet is basic but thats what I wanted. The visor is good and snaps on securely. Plus its easy to remove which is how I use it unless weather poor. So you can have the old school look of a standard Gringo with the option of the visor for a long trip. It has a D ring chin strap which I always prefer. Im not a fan of quick release straps which i can never get to fit properly, too tight or too loose. I love the retro look and it suits my bike perfectly. Yes you wouldn't buy for a sports bike for high speed. But hey ive got a cruiser and no windshield so high speed is not what I'm after anyway. I usually have open face helmets but wanted an alternative with better protection. Urban Rider had a great price and stock available. Fast delivery made the the whole purchase very satisfactory. Top marks to them.”
