Revit Fairfax Boots - Black Reviews

3.5 Rating 2 Reviews
Read Urban Rider Reviews

Shaped as fashionable sneakers the Fairfax shoes can fool anyone when it comes to protection. Don't be fooled by its appearance, though; the Fairfax is equipped with the protection one expects from a true motorcycle shoe. A thermoformed heel cup and toe cap and an injected ankle cup provide protection that is critical while riding. Once off the bike, the Fairfax gives the looks and comfort of a sneaker—thanks also to its anatomically shaped foot bed. To make sure the laces stay in place the Fairfax is fitted with a closure strap. The boots are well made of quality material. They fit true to size and look great. I received them really quickly (6 days to Australia) and couldn‰غھt be happier, Cheers!

These boots surely look the piece and can easily be mistaken for a pair of Converse style shoes while off the bike. They are sturdily made and feels as if they would offer a fair bit of protection, although there could be more ankle support - they are very soft and flexible in that area. For the bad part, I'm on my third pair of boots in about as many months. The rivets for the laces come loose as they aren't fixed properly and on one pair the entire piece of suede/paper where the laces pass through started disintegrating. I'll shortly have to replace this pair as well as new rivets have come lose, which is worrying because I was considering other Rev'it gear but if their jackets and trousers are of similarly poor quality it's probably better to stay away. Also I'm worried if these quality issues might affect their safety functionality. Finally they are absolutely not waterproof. On a short ride from home (N7) to work (W26) in light rain I arrived with wet feet and shoes.
