“Fit perfectly on my 2006 MK5 GTI. Just make sure to take a picture of what the old one looks like before you take it out, specifically the cable ends and how they attach to the end of the threaded rod. I installed it at first incorrectly by not fully allowing the cable end to grab the last thread on the rod which caused the gears to pop out.. not good! I also used a two-jaw puller to remove the old one as it was really stuck on there. 1st, 3rd, and 5th seem about 20% shorter 2nd, 4th and 6th maybe about 15%”

“Great and easy upgrade, did it in 10 minutes on my mk7 gti. Shortens up shifts just for a more precise feeling. Keep in mind, when you install it your shifter/ boot is pushed forwards so basically your new 4th is where neutral was which isn’t a problem at all just something to be aware of. Definitely recommend”
