Wild Outdoor Wilderness Olive Green Utility Kilt
The Wild utility kilt is the perfect kilt for the outdoor enthusiast.  It comes with just about everything anyone would need that spends time in the outdoors.  This kilt can take just about anything Mother Nature can throw at it.  It comes with four large pockets with elastic sides that allow you to carry just about anything you need.  These same four pockets are removable and are attached with both snaps and velcro so you know they are secure.  Two slash pockets above the cargo pockets add additional, easy access storage for things like keys, phones, and wallets.  On the waist of the kilt you will find D rings and clips that make attaching accessories super simple.  The velcro closure on the waist makes for the easiest on and off of just about any kilt.  This kilt checks all the boxes for the outdoor enthusiast.
Features Include:

Two large, removable side cargo pockets with elastic sides
Two removable rear cargo pockets with elastic sides
Slash pockets above the cargo pockets for additional storage
D Rings and clips for attaching accessories
23 inch length on all sizes
Long lasting poly-cotton fabric
Velcro waist closure for easy on and off

Sizing / Measuring
It is extremely important you follow our measuring video and order the size you need based on your measurement, not pants size.  All of men's pants are labeled 2-4 inches smaller than what they actually measure.  Please see our measuring video below or checkout or measuring page here.
If you measure an even size like 38 or 40, then order that exact size.  If you fall in between sizes, you can order down to the nearest even size for a snug fit or up in size for a loose fit. Because this kilt has a velcro waist, you has some adjustment that can be made.  However, you don't want to be too far off from your measured waist size.
One of the biggest questions that also come up about sizing is weight loss / gain.  If your waist fluctuates within 2-3 inches, you can order the size your waist will be at the middle point of your fluctuation. When weight loss is a goal, you can order smaller.  However, keep in mind that that the kilt should only be 2 - 3 inches smaller than what you measure (3 inches is pushing to the limit. 1.5 - 2 is best).  For example, if you measure 45 but will eventually get down to a 42, you can order a 42.  Just keep in mind the 42 will be a tight fit and won't hang correctly until you can tighten up closer to the 42.
With that said, we always recommend ordering as close to your current waist measurement as possible for the best fit.

Got my new Wilderness Kilt just in time for my 60th birthday getaway to the Oregon Coast. Perfect weather and the comfort, durability and style of this kilt added to a fantastic time. The massive cargo pockets were perfect for beach combing. Careful of those high winds, lads!

I was just browsing for a new kilt when I saw this purtty lookin bastard. So I ordered it in my size and waited. When it showed up it was ready to wear out of the box. Not a fan of the velcro ,but I manage. The pockets are big and the little outer ones allow me to comfortably carry my knife and lighter. All my EDC crap is easy to haul with this thing. Also has hand pockets. I ride a skateboard and it catches the breeze so nice. Just wear a kilt pin and you'll be fine. Now I just need one in a different color.

I'm a Scoutmaster, and I bought a UT Kilts WILD Outdoor / Wilderness Olive Green Utility Kilt to wear with my Scout uniform, and for hiking and backpacking (I also wear it around town). Last summer, I wore my kilt for our entire 9 day backpacking trip in Desolation Wilderness. By the end of the trip, the kilt really, REALLY needed to be washed and ironed, but, because of the "flow through ventilation", I did not have any "monkey butt" or "crotch rot". As a middle aged man who is not as "svelte" as I used to be (OK, I'll say it, I'm fat :-{)}), this is enough for me to give the kilt two thumbs up. Also, it was a pretty good conversation piece, every day of the trip, I was stopped by PCT through-hikers who wanted to know where I got the kilt, and my experiences backpacking in it. One down side: being made of cotton, the kilt is relatively heavy, absorbs moisture readily, and dries slowly, so I treated the kilt with Nikwax "Cotton Proof" wash in waterproofing, and while I wouldn't wear it in a downpour (it's not rain gear after all, and so the seams aren't taped), it seems to work well enough for short exposure to light rain or snow.
