Simply pull the Scorpion Swing-Away Hitch Joint's standard 5/8" hitch pin and the entire Spare Tire Mounting Post pivots away from the bed of your UTV so you can access the tailgate.Unlike trucks and SUVs, ATV and UTV receiver hitches are commonly located beneath the vehicle. The unique angled lower section of our Receiver Hitch Spare Tire Mount extends the receiver hitch beyond the rear of the vehicle and provides plenty of ground clearance in rough terrain.Powder coated flat black for a durable, corrosion-resistant finish.IMPORTANT NOTE: The U-4047S provides 13-3/4" horizontal clearance between the vehicle's receiver hitch pin hole and the mount post. The U-4045 Hitch Stabilizer can optionally be installed to eliminate wobble between the lower section and the mount post but prevents toolless removal and reinstallation of the mount post. The included 3/8" fasteners will accommodate most wheels, but some wheels may require the separate purchase of longer bolts.
