The Vedder Holsters Pocket Locker® is great for concealed carry of small sized pocket pistols in the front pocket of your pants- great for those that do not wish to carry around the waistline. Fully adjustable retention allows you to set your preference of tight, loose, or somewhere-in-between retention. The Pocket Locker® features three possible ways to draw. First, when drawing your firearm from your pocket, the hook catches on the corner of your pants pocket and the firearm is drawn, free from the holster. Second, it is great for those that want a secure and custom holster for their carry bag or purse as the holster comes standard with eyelet hardware which can be used to attach paracord to the interior of your bag for snatch style un-holstering. Third, an optional thumb tab that allows you to un-holster your gun with a simple thumb press. Each holster is custom molded from Kydex® to your unique gun model ensuring a perfect fit. It also comes with a full sweat guard. Sweat guards cover both sides of the entire slide of your pistol reducing its contact with moisture from your body.

Current listed holsters are ideal for front pocket carry in most standard mens jeans. To test if the holster will work for you in pocket carry, we recommend trying to put your unloaded and safety checked gun in your pocket to get an idea if pocket carry is for you. If your gun fits comfortably in your pocket, then you will have a good idea if the holster will fit in your pocket as well.

The pocket holster looks great, feels nice and does its job as far as concealing. It breaks up the "gun" pattern when tighter pants print. I got one for my Ruger LCP Max. I do wish they made it for the viridian green dots too but they dont yet anyway. Its not all good hence the 4 stars and not 5. The retention... Is not there. Im new to pocket carry so idk if its suppose to be tight like my appendix carry holsters but it isnt. If i turn the holster upside down and wiggle a little, the gun falls free. From what i understand you can use a heatgun or good hair dryer to heat the kydex and clamp down to increase retention. Though from the design of the holster it stays upright in pocket and ive had no issues with gun coming out of holster while in pocket. Ive walked a lot, drove and even chased my 3yr old around the park(climbing obstacles, going down slides, swinging, etc) and have never had it come out. So maybe this is how it should be for easier draw? It would give me better peace of mind though if it held just a bit tighter. Still the best option out there. I just dont trust the cloth "sticky" holsters to protect the trigger.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review! We are happy to assist with your questions! Yes, the pocket carry holsters are slightly looser by design for an easy draw form the pocket. If the retention is to tight, you may have trouble releasing the gun from the holster in the pocket. We have settled on this based on customer feedback over the years. If you would prefer a tighter retention, just reach out to our customer support team and we are happy to take care of this for you! Have a great day!

After doing extensive research on kydex pocket holsters I opted for the Vedder Pocket Locker. It seemed to check all the boxes for me. I am very pleased with the Pocket Locker for my LCP Max. It is lightweight, conceals like a champ in my front pocket and secures the trigger very well.

Overall It’s a good holster. I bought one for my lcp max in left handed configuration. There isn’t a contour near the mag release on both sides however and I swap my mag releases to the opposite side to accommodate me being a lefty. The lack of protection over my mag release has caused it to disconnect in my pocket a few times as I carry. This will only be an issue for lefties or anyone who moves the release to the right side.

**VH COMMENT** Thank you for reaching out to Vedder Holsters. We are so sorry to hear this, the Kydex should be bumped out enough on that side to clear the mag release. We can adjust this for you and we will have our Customer Service team reach out to you immediately for a quick resolution.

An excellent pocket holster. Fit my new Ruger LCP .380 Max perfectly. Thumb release works well, easy draw. I carry in front right pocket, no visable print. Retired my De Santis Superfly for the Vedder in pocket holster. You produce an excellent product, you customer service is surperb. Thank you. .

I got this the other day for pocket carry, I got the optional thumb push and curve. The thumb push is necessary, for a easier draw. The curve is debatable. It terms of how it rides, its as good as you can do for pocket carry IMO. Especially if you carry a safe action style gun like a glock42 or lcp max. It does print slightly but most people don't notice it and depending on your pants (I'm in Nike sweats) it won't print at all. So far I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and would easily recommend this kydex pocket holster to anyone serious about getting it. It will do as advertised and protect the trigger while in your pocket. Weight wise it feels about the same weight as my cell phone in the pocket. Worth the money.
