“Bought for Colt 1911 Combat Unit. Gun fits fine but after only a dozen or so draws in its one week of life the leather is already all cut up. If I were to continue to use it the gun will eventually cut through the leather maybe in a month or so. Maybe 1911s with all the sharp edges are not meant for this kydex/leather design due to the tight fit required for retention? Have other holsters from you that I am thrilled about. This one I regret buying, but it’s too “used” to be returned at this point.”

“When the Quick Draw OWB first arrived I was disappointed with the retention. To be fair, I had not put the holster on yet and tested retention by holding the holster in my hand. At the advice of their tech support, I put the holster on with a 1.5" gun belt and the retention was there. It draws great and feels secure. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is there is no obvious way to adjust retention, but it still feels secure, is comfortable and conceals the full-size Sig P320 XTen 10mm under a polo shirt pretty well.”

The hybrid style holsters do offer a set retention as the pressure created from your body provides the additional retenion to create that perfect fitment. We do offer lifetiem adjustments so if at any point you prefer a looser or tighter retention we can always set this up for you.

“Perfect fit for my Canik Mete MC9. I don't like IWB carry for a variety of reasons, but still require a rig that makes my gun disappear while maximizing comfort. Enter this Vedder Quick Draw OWB holster! I've carried concealed for many years. Many different guns and sizes in countless holsters, both IWB and OWB. I can't think of a holster I've worn that is more comfortable. I literally forget that it's there. And my gun is undetectable under even the thinnest, lightest t-shirt. A home run. I love it!”

Currently our hybrid holsters do not offer a retention screw, their retention is designed to come from the pressure created from your body against the backside of the leather fully seating your model into the custom kydex shell. “It fits like a piece of clothing. Wore it in a nine-hour tactical session. Then the entire next week including today and yesterday (as a matter of fact). I can't imagine wearing another holster. There was never ANY question as to whether it would retain the firearm. I could on for an hour. Just buy it and you'll know.”
