“I followed the instructions to assemble the vegepod and they were so simple my 5 years old granddaughter was able to help me.
I used premium potting mix combined with the pearlite as per instructions, all on a wheeled trolley to enable it to be moved for cleaning the deck and catching sunlight. I hooked up the irrigation system which can be quickly 'clicked' off when the unit is moved.
I was amazed at how quickly the vegies grew from the small punnets I purchased from Bunnings - in 2 weeks I was able to harvest the baby spinach and rocket. Another week and I harvested the mignonette lettuces.
I admit I over-planted the pod and had to do a bit of thinning after 3-4 weeks, the growth was so thick and lush the plants were crowding each other out.
I'm very happy with the pod and can see it paying for itself in no time, plus vegies picked from it last a lot longer in the fridge than store-bought ones.”
