“I have lower back spinal issues as well as knee problems that prevent me from engaging in daily living activities easily. Before I purchased my independence chair, I had to rely on others to do housework or just skip it entirely. Things were getting cluttered and dusty to say the least! I chose the powered chair as I wanted to get up closer to standing height in the kitchen. It's dangerous to cook from a low position. I love that this chair lets me glide under my own foot power about the house. Using this chair on our main living level saves my energy so I can head downstairs to our television room and reading area. Best purchase ever!”

“I can go from one room to the other and not worry about falling with holding on to my walker I was always scared falling is my worst fear.
I can do things and not have to use the grabber like reaching in my over head cabinets. I get plenty of foot and leg use to go from one place to the other. Always remember to use the brake and you wont roll or have the chair slip when you go to sit down.”

“I purchased a Vela independence chair in December 2020 that I use as a computer desk chair majority of the time and occasionally will use it at the dinner table by pushing and maneuvering it with my hands on the wall and foot to push my self to the dining area to have my meals from my computer which is located in my bedroom.. Due to my medical condition, I can not get up from a chair without help. This chair is what I needed so I can move around to retrieve items I need to do things. I have a similar chair That goes up & down but can not be rolled around and is heavier. I also use a walker so this chair is very convenient for me to get up and transfer to the walker.”

“Love this chair, very safe and so easy to maneuver. Very sturdy and looks nice. The brake is a favorite feature along with the lever that allows you a 90* turn while stationary. No more drifting even though your locked in. Days of bumping into walls from the regular wheelchair are gone. There are no restrictions because those big wheels are gone. A freedom for folks who have been wheelchair bound, can't say enough good things about it, It feels like a miracle. So happy to have it.”

“I was having problems getting up with a conventional office chair. I searched and found the Vela independence chair
that doesn't tilt or is huge like a recliner which wouldn't help me with my disability. The Vela chair does help me. I received my chair and set it up in seconds. I really like this chair it really helps me out and yes it Enables Me.”
