“The chair is not bad, and it significantly helped my wife. But for this money, it could be better. There are details that really need improvement. The armrests are too short. They should be much longer, and the length should be adjustable (similar to Herman Miller Aeron). The remote should be wireless; my wife cannot reach it where it is stored on the chair.”

“I am a 69 year-old male, diagnosed for 21 years with Parkinson’s Disease. I was in dire need of a new office chair and, while searching the internet (and coming up empty-handed), I came across the “Independence Chair”. After 4 months of exhaustive research on the product and the company (Enable Me), I purchased the chair. I am a procrastinating perfectionist when it comes to a purchase of this kind. After 7 months of use, I give the product a 100% endorsement regarding quality of materials and construction. The product is definitely well-built. In regards to the staff at Enable Me, I found every team member to be courteous, very helpful and knowledgable of the product. What finally ended my procrastination was finding Enable Me, LLC to be of the highest standards of ethical business principles. A very special shout-out to Quality-of-Life Expert Brandon Wachtfeitl!! His knowledge of the product and the courteous manner in which he conveyed that knowledge is to be commended. But, his patience level during the 4 months of my procrastinating Qs & As was, without a doubt, above & beyond the call-of-duty!! Because of his professional skills, I have regained Independence, mobility and, most important of all, safety within my home. You cannot put a price tag on any one of those issues. The time & money spent in purchasing the Independence Chair has been well worth it.
I would like to pass along one “travel tip” for consideration: It has been my experience that carpeted floor covering is not a user-friendly environment for the I.C.. It performs best on smooth floor surfaces (concrete, wood, linoleum, tile, etc). Not to say it won’t run on carpet, but I have found it to be difficult at best. Then, again, I’m 120 lbs with legs that have been weakened by the disease. All points considered, I have found The Independence Chair to be a sound investment and an excellent device for mobility.”
