“It’s a great concept but the rack is simply too heavy. If parked on any sort of uphill incline, my wife is unable to lift it up when fully laden with 5 bikes. It needs an option for a lifting assist of some kind. Perhaps you could install an electric linear actuator.”

Hi there, thank you for sharing your experience. We recommend pushing a fully loaded rack by the frames of the bikes, which often offers a more comfortable angle for pushing up. “Very useful set up for me and my family. Have gotten lots of compliments from people, which I think speaks more to the functionality than appearance. The other feature I love is the garage bike rack storage. Don’t have to worry about where to store when not in use.”

“I feel like I should start this review by pointing out that I don't really ever take the time to write product reviews either negative or positive. This is an awesome rack for our family. It is so easy to put bikes on and take them off. It has saved us a great deal of time and makes the overall biking experience more enjoyable. The rack is very solid and well made. This company's customer service is also amazing! I'm not sure how it even happened, but one of the frame pieces had a couple chips in it upon arrival. I called customer service and received a new piece within a couple days. I thought that was incredible! I wouldn't hesitate to buy this rack again.”

“Second one I’ve purchased. Travel from coast to coast and everywhere we went people were saying their other brand wasn’t fast and easy like ours. 3 sons 9-11-13 can all get their bikes on and off. The only solution to a 5 bike problem in my opinion. Fast shipping and the lock cable option is amazing design, so convenient.”

“I've owned several bike racks from a well-known brand for years and recently purchased a bumper mount rack for my mountain bikes. The rack was not up to the task where several components broke, and due to poor design engineering, the rack fell out of the hitch several times (luckily, both times, no bikes were attached). I desperately needed a quality bike rack because my sons and I were regular visitors to Tahoe, riding the downhill park and various other terrains. After researching several racks, I concluded that the VelociRAX 5x was the best option as I ride both mountain and road bikes. The rack makes it super easy to load and unload the bikes. My 15-year-old son, a downhill racer, thinks it's the "Coolest," in his words, "Sick ."The rack is highly functional, with its hydraulic dampers allowing for simple and easy load and unloading for all 5 bikes, consisting of a 29" Enduro, 27.5 Downhill, 26" MTB, and road bikes. The rack is engineered at the highest level with all-steel construction. The rack is a little on the heavy side. But made to last and is designed to lock in place so that you never have to worry about your bikes while driving to and from your local downhill park, your favorite terrain, or possibly even the jump park, where you'll look super cool parked with VelociRAX. I look forward to years of use both on and off-road with my new VelociRAX 5x.”
