“Very sturdy and will probably last for years. It will carry all five bikes without them touching. The only downside is it weighs a lot. It’s not something that my wife could just take on or off easily.”

“Overall pleased with the purchase of Velocirax 5. We have taken several trips to Whistler and rack has held up from Washington State. Easy-to-use for the entire family. I have bottomed out when it was unloaded (once backing and another time exiting a driveway). Overall, Happy with purchase.”

“Our Honda Pilot handled this beauty easily and with for silly vibes and one kid bike, the vehicle barely noticed. You do have to give the tack a good shoulder press to get it locked in street tube loaded the bikes. My wife couldn’t do it. If you’re strong enough, the system is amazing!”

“Torn on how to rate the 5. 5x is in all honesty the best rack I’ve owned to include 1up tray and vertical, north shore and LOLO. The 5 on the other hand is not suitable for 5 mountain bikes and flat pedals. The contact points are very small margins and on shuttle roads that are almost always gravel fire roads.. there will be touching. Now the 5X on the other hand… !! tons !! Of spare room between each bike! Easy loading and unloading, the hydraulic lowering is the best option out there! My wife can easily load her emtb up and push the rack into place. The tray style and other vertical racks we have had for thr family meant she won’t take the e bike with out me there to load it. We love the 5x however thr 5 regular is inadequate for any bike I can think of. It just doesn’t fit bikes in each slot with clearance between each bike. Side note the garage solution racks from velocirax is awesome also. Our family fleet of 9 bikes all hang neatly out of the way of our trucks and kid strollers! It’s nice to have the option of 5 rack but I just don’t see its useful purpose. Just do the 5X and save yourself the headache of bikes touching”

“Pricey but worth every penny. Anti wobble works. Took it from CA to Oregon with 5 bikes and this thing rocks. Only thing I would have done differently was buy the 5x with extra spacing between bikes cus the geometry of my road bikes causes rubbing”
