I did a lot of research by the time I finally decided to get the VelociRAX 5 and I have not been disappointed. The rack arrived very well packaged and every piece feels bomb-proof and fits together well. Assembly was not difficult, but there was some nuance to tightening each bolt just right. As far as use, this rack is a heavy beast to move around, so always a two-adult job to install (maybe one could uninstall solo, but probably not advisable). Once on, though, I have absolutely no complaints. It's rock solid, looks great and I have gotten tons of compliments and questions about it. I've carried a variety of MTB to hybrid to kids bikes down to 20" tires over 100s of miles of interstate and back roads all without a hint of an issue. The garage rack function is awesome as well, and a huge perk so that I don't have a giant rack like this lying around collecting dust when not on my car. My only other word of caution is that this thing sticks out far and does weigh the back end of our Kia Telluride down a fair amount when fully loaded with five bikes. I had one instance where I went straight off a steep driveway curb and audibly nailed the end of the rack straight into concrete. The rack and the car were totally fine, but not the most pleasant thing to have happened. Overall, this rack is 100% worth every dollar if you need to carry 5 bikes safely.

Best bike rack on the market. Phenomenally well made. Ease of use is like nothing I’ve had in other bike racks. Can not recommend enough! Chip in Tucson using a 5 Wide rack

This rack is super rugged and much easier to load and unload than the other racks. I love the garage storage solution. The only downside is the weight of the rack. It's probably a two-person job to move it and I struggle to load it onto the vehicle by myself. The weight is a byproduct of the high quality and I think this is the best rack on the market.

I've owned the 1up 4 bike, the yakima hangover 6 and used the lola 5 bike in years past. This is by far the best rack for more than 2 bikes. Easy enough to assemble and install on the vehicle. Bomber stability and control and ease of bike loading on a 3 week trip from Denver to Whister, riding nearly every day. Highly recommend.

Simply THE BEST RACK around

I love the rack! It's very easy to use and holds the bikes well. The rack is pretty heavy so installing it and taking it off can be a little bit of a chore but not sure there's a way around that with a rack that holds this many bikes. I've learned to flip it upside down when I remove it and strap it to a furniture dolly to easily roll around. The bikes are pretty secure but you really do want to use the brake bands if you're driving far or on rough roads.
