“Solid, well-designed bike rack. People come up and look it over and are amazed by the functionality. I bet I've sold 5 more units, just talking to people that are interested in it. If I had one want/recommendation, I would love to have something to raise the rack while loaded or at least assist in the lift. It is quite heavy when loaded down.”

“I love my new VelociRAX 7 place bike carrier. I run it on my 2020 Honda Odyssey minivan. While it causes the van to squat a bit it travels well! Two reasons it doesn’t get a 5 star rating. One is the weight. Granted I’m certain it has to be built this way to handle 7 bikes, but it’s really a two person lift to install and remove the rack. The good thing is that with 4 kids I have plenty of help! The 2nd reason which again is due to the shear number of bikes hanging from the rack, it’s a bit of a puzzle to get them all to fit. Perhaps if I had chosen the 6-place, organizing them might be easier. Overall though, so far this thing rocks!”

Our racks are steel constructed for a sturdy build, which means they will be heavier than plastic racks. We understand this can be a hassle, so we recommend moving it with a pal! We also recommend loading bikes left to right, largest to smallest for snug fits. We hope this helps! “We love it. We can finally transport our bikes along with our five boys’ bikes on a single vehicle. We have it mounted in the garage when it’s not attached to our Expedition. The only improvements I would request are 1) a built-in bike lock mechanism, 2) instructions printed on the rack itself because if we don’t use it over a season, we forget which pin goes where to do what, and 3) when it’s mounted, I wish it weren’t so darn tall, as me and my kids can’t get our bikes down easily and my hubs has to do it. Maybe that’s by design because some bikes are bigger. I don’t know. Overall, we love it and people are amazed by it when we’re driving around.”

Hi Jenna, we love the feedback! We offer an integrated locking system that's available on our website. This locking system rests in the top bar and can be completely out of the way when it's not needed. It can also be added at any time! All of our assembly pamphlets are available on our website under the assembly tab, but we haven't thought about putting them directly on the rack before. I use my knee on the bike seat to lightly push up if the rack is too high for me. If you send us an email to support@velocirax.com, we would love to give your more tips and hear your thoughts. “This rack is amazing! Super easy to load and holds all seven bikes (which are all different sizes) with ease. Our family of 8 can all bike with the trailer on the cartop carrier! It is sturdy and reliable! The conversion to garage mode is slick and convenient with storing bikes with minimal space. Customer service is very helpful when trying to learn how to invert from garage to carry mode with the pin and placement. During this past summer triathlon and other family trips, I have had MANY curious people stop and ask where I got it, to look at it, and ask what is it and how it works. When driving down the highways you get many thumbs up because it is so cool! VelociRax is an amazing rack and I love mine very much! So glad I invested in it for our family bike trips and thank you VelociRax for creating bike racks for those of us with large families.”
