VelociRAX 7 was a perfect fit for our large family to travel and take our bicycles on all our adventures! Even with the load of 7 bikes, the rack is easy to use and provides safe storage throughout our trip. I would highly recommend the product to anyone looking for a rack storage solution, big or small!

We have a friend with a Recon Rack and this is so much better. The mount to hang it in the garage, the hydraulic support on letting the rack down, the anti-rattle hitch mount, the bungees to secure the bikes rather than those silly straps are all a huge plus.

We might be biased, but we like those features too... we are happy to hear they are getting put to good use! Ride on!

I purchased my VelociRAX 7-Bike rack 5 months ago because the 4-bike hitch mount rack was literally falling short of my 7-passenger capacity Sienna van. My V-RAX7 gets used two to three times on average, per week mostly in the Santa Cruz and around the Bay Area, but I've taken it on road trips to Tahoe, China Peak, Auburn, Georgetown, Shasta, and Ashland for mountain biking and it's absolutely a great solution for anyone who has a need to move 7 bikes or less without a scratch or scuff. I found loading bikes onto the V-RAX7 using the tilt feature makes it very easy, especially when loading heavy e-bikes. Once the front tire touches the edge of the wheel cradle, it takes a quick push up and the bike rolls into place. It's much easier than having to lift an e-bike onto a rack with trays, which can take a lot of work, especially when loading a heavy bike onto the furthest tray. The anti-ratle cinch bolt works really well and keeps the rack connected to the hitch so there's no sway or creeks but check and tighten the bolt every so-often. I recommend having two people when installing and removing your V-RAX7 because it's heavy and akward. Not that someone can't get creative and accomplish the task, but as the manufacturer's video clearly shows, it's much easier with two people. I hope you enjoy your VelociRAX 7 Bike Rack as much as I do!

The rack is good for 4 bikes without special arrangements and added protection between bikes. The rear access feature does not drop far enough to allow access to my van hatch. Off pavement driving is nerve racking because the bikes violently swing and may contact each other. I would not recommend this 7 bike rack for anyone with high dollar bikes.

Hi Kane, we would be interested to learn more about your van access and the issues you are having. We include rubber bands to lock out bike breaks on rough roads, so that could help with bike movement. We are sorry to hear bike arrangements have been an issue for you. If you are willing to email us at support@velocirax.com, we would love to learn more about your van situation and offer our two cents.
