“Great product. Loaded up a family’s worth of bikes all different sizes and headed off on a 5hr road trip to southern utah. Loaded and unloaded 10xs on the trip with no problems.”

“Love everything about this! We are a family of 7 and have had to have bikes in our camper or crammed in the back of a vehicle. We have this Velocirax 7 on the back of our NV3500 with two canoes on top of the van. Loading and unloading are so much easier that my 14-year-old boys can help me get bikes on and off of the rack. We have tried other options, and the VelociRax is the sturdiest rack we have ever had by far!”

“The overall quality of the rack is very high in terms of robustness, ease of use, functionality, and fitting 7 bikes on one rack. I needed to use a hitch extension to be able to open my van doors with the bikes on the rack. My one regret about the rack is that with 7 mountain bikes the rack and bikes weigh close to 350lbs which exceeds the limit for all swing arm hitches on the market. It also has a big impact on the handling of my van. I still recommend the rack for large families or cycling teams. I also appreciate the versatility of the rack. We have used it to haul MTBs, road bikes, tagalong bikes, and kids bikes with wheel sizes of 20", 26", 27.5" and 29" and tires from road bike tires up to 29"x2.5" MTB tires and all of them fit fine in the standard rack mounts. We have also used the rack on challenging off-road terrain and so far it has held up well.”

Hi there, it is great to hear you have been able to use your VelociRAX to carry a variety of bikes off-road! For the same reason you are concerned about the weight on your swing arm, we do not recommend using a VelociRAX with one. Since our bike racks can hold up to 230 lbs of bike weight, weight can add up quickly, and swing arms can't handle it. In regard to how your van is handling the rack, we haven't had issues like this as long as vehicles use a class 3 hitch with a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs. When the anti-rattle system has been tightened there should be minimal play on the rack, so if this is not the case, please shoot us an email at support@velcocirax.com if this is not the case. “Great rack but disappointed I couldn’t add the fattire rack in the same order to save shipping costs. Wish I could only buy one fattire carrier but only sold in pairs.”
