I absolutely love the VelociRAX 7. No one else makes a comparable bike rack and it has helped my shuttle company PNW Rides, immensely.

I gave it 5 stars only because it wouldn't let me put more. We love our Velocirax. I don't know that I've felt this good about any sizable purchase in a very long time. We put the rqck on our RV for youth MTB races. We aren't always sure which of our family of 9 will get to ride but it is so easy to just load up all of their bikes that we often do. It's easy for me to load in any position and my kids, who struggle with my tailgate pad, load up the velocirax themselves in the lowered position. We have a 29, 2 27s, a 26, a 24, and a 20 that goes in a smaller basket. Our 14 in would probably work fine in the smaller basket but it also fits anywhere so we just throw it in. The bikes don't really rub but an empty space makes it nice to be able to easily take off just the racing bikes when we need to. The rack is solid, the straps are strong, the hitch fits snug, and everything is pretty intuitive. Really, I have no complaints. We love this rack.

Holy crap! This is the single best purchase I've made in the last 10 years! Story time, lads...buckle up! Last summer my buddies and I did a big shuttle trip ~300 miles. We busted hump to find someone to shuttle us back to our starting point. We found a few folks who seemed willing, but they either ghosted us in the process or wanted hundreds of dollars per person to do the work. I looked around and found this rack which cost less than the cheapest shuttle service wanted to charge. Bought it. The darn this is absolutely perfect! Fits 7 bikes with ease. Solid! Not Moab rock crawling solid, but definitely highway and dirt road sold! No drama in the set up. No drama in the use. I'm impressed all the way around! TlDR: this rack is worth more than it costs and is absolutely perfect!

Excellent Rack, Very happy! The 7 is not a rack you want to take off and one every weekend. Especially solo! But once it's set up, it's amazing! I'm thinking about keeping the 7 for indoor storage and the bigger summer trips. I'm looking at winter and thinking RAX412 for every day and the winter fat bike conversion.

I have used the North Shore 6 rack for more than a decade; this year we were doing multiple bike trips with ten riders so I purchased a Velocirax7 too. Both have strengths and weaknesses. The things I like specifically about the velocirax is that: - I can use it for road bikes too - I can use it to efficiently store bikes and the rack on the wall in the off season - quick and easy to load/unload bikes when doing shuttle laps without scratching the truck. The drawbacks compared to the north shore rack - needs two people to install/uninstall the hitch mount thingy - complicated design which uses a lot of bolts/nuts for structural strength rather than welds. - the bikes feel more secure when being held from the fork crown rather (NSR) than the wheels (velocirax) - expensive Overall, if I was only going to buy one rack, I’d probably go with the velocirax so long as I know I’ll be able to find a second person to help me install/remove the rack.

Hi there, thank you for this thorough review! Since our rack does not contain any breakable plastic pieces, it may be heavier than other racks that use plastic parts. We understand this may be difficult to maneuver, but a high-quality steel build is important for us for the longevity of our racks. We strive to make the building process as easy as possible, but logistically certain pieces need to be assembled. If you have any ideas we would love to hear from you! After rigorous testing, we have found the tire-only contact for bike security is the safest for bikes and the rack. We prefer this method of security over others because it is universal and is much less likely to damage bikes during unexpected terrain. There is always room for improvement, so we really appreciate you sharing your experience with your VelociRAX 7. If you have other feedback or suggestions please email us at support@velocirax.com. Ride on!

Awesome rack, does the work almost flawlessly. One minor issue with a crimp on the pin for the gas struts but should be warranty. Other than that it carried 7 bikes almost 4000km without issues!
