“Love this contact paper, great for making calendars or putting on the refrigerator for notes etc. cleans up nicely. This is going to be nice for craft projects also. I can't wait to see how many uses I am going to get out of one roll. It has so much more than the others I have seen.”
“I've been looking for chalkboard vinyl for a couple re-purpose projects I have, and this fit the bill perfectly! For my first project (see pictures), I wanted to re-do a fun frame I found at a yard sale and make one of those "I Love You Because..." chalkboards I've seen on Pinterest. The vinyl was easy to cut, and I love that the backing had grids. The vinyl is pretty darn sticky, and I was a little worried that it would stretch when it accidentally stuck to the glass before I was ready to position it. But, it peeled off slowly without stretching out the vinyl. I placed it with ease and used a ruler to make sure there were no bubbles.
I used the included chalk marker to write the text. It did take a good bit of shaking to get the ink to flow, but it's a great marker. I made a mistake with my initially placement of the text, and it was easy to wipe up and erase with a damp, soapy cloth. I put the finished project on the door leading to the garage. I hope my hubby enjoys my little love notes before he leaves for work each day!”
“We have four pets that require quite a bit of medication and special care, so we needed something that we could write their dosages, medications, refill needs, etc on that wouldn't accidentally get wiped off easily (like dry erase) and could be changed up as necessary. I applied the VersaChalk chalkboard contact paper to our wall, quite easily, and used our array of collected chalk markers to make a chart for each pet (after playing around a bit with it first). It sticks really well and the bubbling was easy to remove with a credit card. It wipes clean with a slightly damp rag and is ready to go again. I made mine large so it was obvious and everything could be easily read. It fits in perfectly and has even allowed us to write little daily quotes of encouragement or the "we need toilet paper" notes that have become so vital. It's certainly helped us to keep our pets, medications and dosages straight!”
“I am so glad that I found this product. I am converting some small colorful boxes (from Birchbox) into photo organizers. I was looking for some pre-cut chalkboard shapes to put on the top of each so I can write the year and subject of each. By using this contact paper I can now cut various shapes to use, and the fact that I can erase the chalk makes the boxes reusable after I get the pictures in the scrapbooks! Very clever and good adhesive. I can think of a hundred craft ideas to use this for and most likely will. There is plenty on the roll and includes a bonus marker, so it is quite the bargain.”
“I love the fact that it can be cut to size and used in various ways, in fact the project I chose was for a Sunday School Classroom.
I used clipboards for each child and covered the front. I used the clip on the top to hold the chalk (actually, I used chalk markers, but either would work). Suddenly we were back in time to old fashioned slate boards! To children of the electronic era, this felt a lot like magic!
This contact paper does wash off and best of all is removable.
Two thumbs up for a practical product”
“This chalkboard contact paper was a lot bigger than I expected! I just cut what I needed and will save the rest for something else. As you can imagine it comes in a nice rolled up box so I just flattened it overnight and put it on nice and neat on my wall in the morning. Chalk comes off nicely.”
“Chalkboard contact paper has so many possible uses and every family will come up with their own. Put a strip up in the kitchen to encourage a running grocery list. Put a strip up in your office or teen's room for to-do lists and reminders. Put a strip in the kid's room and hand him a box of colored chalks from the dollar store. Instant artist!
It sticks to walls and cabinets and then peels off without marring the surface. You can cut it into small pieces and make creative labels for homemade goodies because it sticks to glass and metal. Or you can label storage boxes. The backing is marked in grids so that you can get a nice, even cut. And you can use the new "dustless" chalk markers (which now come in a variety of colors) or the old reliable stick chalk that we grew up with. Whichever you choose, you can wipe it off with a damp cloth and you have a blank slate to start afresh. What could be easier?”
“I have been looking at chalk paint to recover some boards I'd purchased at the big red box store with their spot aisle. But every one said not for use with chalk markers. Then this was in the results! So glad! Very easy to apply, have a few bubbles that I wasn't able to smooth out, but that's ok. Cleans off easily with a damp paper towel.”
