Royal Canin - Canine Renal Liquid 200ml (per bottle) Reviews

5 Rating 6 Reviews
The liquid version of the renal options is very palatable, easy to administer, and supplies essential nutrients. One problem with dogs having renal/kidney issues is picky eating. My dog spends about five times longer than is usual when eating solid foods. He has lost about half a kilo in recent months. The liquid diet is not his only option, but with a combination of RC wet and dry food, plus the liquid renal food, I think he can maintain his weight and thrive on the necessary foods for renal care.

It is difficult to find suitable food for a dog with a renal problem. My elderly Pomeranian enjoys this product to the extent that, when all other options are rejected by her, she can always manage to take some Royal Canin liquid diet food and maintain both weight and energy. It requires patience to feed the liquid via some form of 'dropper' but this is worth the effort.

The Royal Canin liquid food is a good product. When a dog has kidney problems, it helps with digestion, and can ensure sufficient calories are absorbed. Highly recommended.

I have fed my dog a renal diet in the past, and was recently advised to renew the prescription. When reviewing the options I found the liquid version, and this seems to have been well received, so much so that my dog has regained some lost weight, and is always eager to sip her liquid food. Administering the product is time consuming due to the use of a small pipette or similar but it is worth it. The product is recommended.

When I first started feeding my dog renal food this was not available. The wet (canned or pouch) and dry versions were my only options. The liquid form of the renal food has many advantages, and although it is quite time consuming to administer, the results are worthwhile. I would say, after a short trial, that the liquid is preferred and has other advantages, in addition to being easy to digest. Given that the dog has kidney problems and is way over normal life expectancy, I think this product is one of the better 'special diet' foods. I have noted a decrease in side effects and an increase in energy since starting the liquid renal diet, so I am very pleased.
